Fox bobbins (swingers)

Fox bobbins or swingers work alongside the alarm: they signal drop-back and lift bites and keep the line tight and under control. They adjust for weight and length.

Setting the weight and the position tunes the sensitivity to the distance and the conditions (wind, current): more weight holds tension at long range, less picks up subtle knocks. Many carry a light so you can see them at night. Choose the colour and the fixing system and pair them with your alarms to sharpen detection and cut false signals.
