Buzz bars for carp fishing

A buzz bar carries two, three or four bite alarms or rod rests on one bar. It mounts on banksticks or a rod pod and may have fixed or adjustable width. Before choosing, check the number of rods, the spacing needed by the reels and thread compatibility with alarms, rests and banksticks.

The front bar normally holds the alarms and the rear bar the butt rests. Keeping both bars aligned prevents the rods from being forced out of position. Adjustable models allow the spacing to open, but add joints that must lock securely. When individual banksticks are used, ground hardness and bankstick length affect the stability of the whole setup.
