The collection includes tapered leaders, monofilament, fluorocarbon and other leader materials. To compare, check material, starting and end diameter, breaking strain, length, units and stated use.
The leader withstands casting stress or adds a different section next to the rig, depending on the product; on its own it isn't meant to pin the line to the bottom. Check compatibility with the main line, knot, rod guides and casting weight. Inspect the first few metres after contact with stone or wood and replace any damaged section. Don't exceed the rod's casting-weight range.
