Electric Trolling Motors for Carp Fishing Boats
To compare the active electric trolling motors, check thrust in pounds, voltage, current draw, shaft length, mounting type and the maximum boat weight stated. More thrust doesn't make up for an unsuitable installation; the shaft must keep the propeller at the correct depth according to the transom and the load.
The battery is sized by voltage, current draw and the runtime needed, with suitable wiring, fuse and connectors. Check whether the model is rated for fresh water, salt water or both, and follow the manufacturer's maintenance instructions. Before buying, confirm compatibility with the boat, space for the battery and the regulations applicable where you'll use it.
