Rod Sleeves for carp fishing

The sleeve must match the rod's packed length, not only its assembled length in feet. Check whether it is made for two- or three-piece rods, how many it carries and whether they fit with the reels attached. Big-pit reels need a generous reel section, while large butt guides also require enough space to avoid being forced.

An individual sleeve protects each rod and keeps transport modular. A multi-rod holdall carries the outfit together, but weighs more and should include padded dividers. Check zips, handles, shoulder strap, base and pockets for banksticks or a landing net. Before closing it, secure the lines and hooks so they cannot damage the fabric or the blank.
